Choices of travel in Thailand.

There are many different ways to travel in Thailand.

travel in Thailand by plane. Most holiday makers arrive in Bangkok airport at "silly" o'clock or should I say a very unsociable hour.

You have just made a long flight and your tired, the kids are complaining, your hungry and there is about twenty taxi drivers all saying to you "come with me I give you good price".

And I bet right about now your partner is looking daggers at you and saying, "I told you we should of included transfers" ok you did'nt, never mind, I never do!!.

travel in Thailand to see Hua Hin sun setting

No matter where you are heading you will need some form of transport to get you there.Lets imagine you are going to spend your holiday in Cha-Am or Hua Hin or the beautiful Dolphin Bay.Or you may be heading further down south.

What I find best is to grab a taxi into Bangkok, then stay the night somewhere reasonable where you can refresh and get a decent nights sleep.

The next day you would have time to look at a few interesting places, then, go to Victoria Monument, which is a stop on the Skytrain and within a two minute walk you will see a lot of white mini buses which go to Cha Am and Hua Hin and other places.

These vans are air conditioned, they leave every fifteen minutes and the fare is around 200 Baht. Very fast.... two and a half hours to Hua Hin.... belt up!!!

Other great ways of travel in Thailand are by bus or train. There is a great rail service north south east and west, and if your traveling south, you can get as far as Malaysia and Singapore.Train journeys are very reasonable and you certainly see some beautiful countryside.

travel in Thailand on a VIP coach

Buses and coaches cover all areas of the country. Its not really my preferred means of getting from A to B but still a very economical way to go.

I find they are quite uncomfortable, and most journeys seem to take for ever to get where your going.

The best form of travel in Thailand for me is on my holiday-freedom page.
