Popeye Guesthouse, let me tell you, I arrived in Ao Nang early in the morning and after wandering around town for a couple of hours I came across this sign that advertised accommodation so I decided to go have a look. To my surprise it was not a guesthouse, it was a bar with about 15 units at the back.It was on a street off the main road so just a little quieter but very central.
She offered me a room that had air-con, fan, hot water and a tv and for 500 Baht per night I decided to take a look.Wow, the room was spotless and it even had a safe.Now that's a good deal. I took the room for two nights and actually stayed for four.It was very comfortable and cleaned every day.
The great thing about this place is there were other travelers staying and we would all get together in the bar and have a few drinks before going out for dinner, then we would all come back and carry on with the party till the early hours.It was a lot of fun.We didn't have far to get home that's for sure.Especially after a couple of cocktails.
Now the bar at the front is called Dream Bar and is actually owned by another woman called PU.She also owns a massage parlor on the main street.It was one big happy family I can tell you. I met and became good friends with a lot of travelers here and I will be staying again for sure. The address is 28/1 moo2 Ao Nang Muang Krabi 81000, and the phone number is 081-7192992.
This is the Dream Bar in front of Popeye Guesthouse.The young lady running the bar is called Yor, she is so funny and totally mixes in with the crowd, always messing around and making people laugh. The bar specializes in cocktails with a huge range to choose from starting from around 100 Baht.Singha beer is 60 Baht per bottle.
Don't forget to have your massage just at the end of the street.You are in good hands with Pu looking after you. I would really like some feedback if you have ever stayed at popeye, even your own holiday story would be good so others can enjoy your travels, and improve theirs.

I was so pleased that I went down that street as I was welcomed by the owner and straight away treated like a king.
