From Bangkok east to Pattaya taking about 3 to 4 hours. And northeast to Nong Khai with a journey of about 11 to 12 hours. Notice the length of these journeys, the reason being Thailands trains are a lot slower than most in other countries. One advantage is that you get to see a lot of the beautiful countryside at a snails pace......well not quite a snail.
